Polyacrylamide Slime – Stringy Slime

Polyacrylamide Slime also known as “stringy slime” sold under the name Sticky Yuck, this is a very stringy, messy, and almost frictionless slime, it is normally clear but can be dyed, it is a lot of fun and has great feel.

Serving Size:
about 3L
Time:
60 Minutes
Difficulty:
Mix
Cleanup:
Hard, lots of water and scraping

Ingredients

  • 80g Sticky Yuck or polyacrylamide powder
  • 3L Water
  • Pigment if you don’t want it to be clear.

Directions

  1. Put the water in the container you want to use, make sure it is hot.
  2. If you want to color the slime, add the pigment to the water.
  3. Start mixing with a paint mixer or immersion blender.
  4. Sprinkle the powder into the water a pinch at a time, be slow and careful.

Notes

  • This will take a while to mix, you must be slow, if you dump the powder into the water or try to add the water to powder it will clump.
  • For small amounts one of the best places to get this stuff from is buckets-o-fun, it is sold under the name “Sticky Yuck”.
  • This stuff has no friction, be careful. Do not lift your feet in the shower.
  • You can scale this up as much as you want, you just need to make sure you have enough water and powder.
  • If you want it thicker, use more powder or less water.
  • If you want it thinner, user more water or less powder.

Clean Up

The clean takes a long time, I find the best way is with a giftcard or one of those shower puff things (Rye it’s called a loofah – Indigo), you need to break the surface tension and rinse with water. Dilute the slime A LOT before attempting to dump it.
